The Mackall Lab is pleased to offer a Postdoctoral Fellow position with a focus on T cell engineering in the Stanford Center Cancer Cell Therapy at Stanford University School of Medicine.  We seek a highly creative and motivated scientist to perform cutting-edge immunology research to overcome resistance mechanisms identified in patients receiving engineered T cell immunotherapies.
 

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to lead a multifaceted project focusing on investigating fundamental mechanisms of human embryo implantation. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of developmental biology and tissue engineering, utilizing innovative technologies. Our research objectives are to elucidate the cellular behavior, invasion, and interactions between the embryo and maternal tissue, to employ single-cell technologies to profile the molecular crosstalk of the implantation niche and to employ gene editing to determine the genetic factors underlying successful implantation. By studying what goes wrong at the embryo-maternal interface, we aim to gain critical insights into the molecular causes underlying implantation failure and early pre-clinical miscarriages.

The Pleiner lab at Stanford University is looking for postdocs interested in developing high-throughput screens for single-domain antibodies, called nanobodies, that perturb intracellular biology directly at the protein level and to use these tools to study and reverse failure of protein homeostasis under disease conditions. In parallel, we are also looking for postdoctoral fellows to study the mechanism of membrane protein biogenesis and quality control at the human endoplasmic reticulum using a combination of cutting-edge functional genomics, cell biology, structural biochemistry and protein engineering techniques.
