We are looking for a postdoctoral researcher to contribute to cutting-edge research at the intersection of language models, data, and reasoning. The postdoc will be part of Stanford Language, Data, and Reasoning (LDR) lab under the direction of Professor Amin Saberi, and will have a chance to collaborate closely with other members of the lab including professors Mirhosseini, Vitercik, and Yang.
The postdoc will be expected to help define the research questions of interest, and lead both empirical and methodological research efforts towards publication, working together with student collaborators. Teaching is not required as part of this position.
- Strong mathematical background, including expertise in one or more of the following areas: machine learning, statistics, and algorithms. Ph.D. (ideally completion by Summer 2025) in computer science, statistics, operations research, or related fields.
- Prior experience working with data, including expertise with computational methods
- Prior experience building ML systems, designing and running experiments in PyTorch or JAX
- Strong publication record in top machine learning conferences (e.g. NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR). A strong background in theory is a plus.
