No. The expected base pay for this position is the Stanford University required minimum for all postdoctoral scholars appointed through the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs. The FY25 minimum is $76,383.

Post-Doctoral Position Available: Krams Lab

Position Overview: We are seeking a highly motivated, creative, and skilled post-doctoral researcher to join our dynamic team in the Transplant Immunology Lab. We are looking for postdocs to work on the following projects: 1) the role of natural killer (NK) cells in alloimmunity and viral infections, and 2) the regulatory functions of extracellular vesicles (EVs) in modulating immune responses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and execute experiments using a variety of techniques, including flow cytometry, CyTOF, spatial proteomics, cell culture, molecular biology, and in vivo models.
  • Analyze and interpret data, integrating experimental and computational findings. Utilize bioinformatics tools and techniques to analyze high-throughput sequencing data, transcriptomic profiles, and other omics data.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of researchers to advance our understanding of immune responses in transplantation and viral infections.
  • Mentor junior investigators and trainees in experimental techniques and data analysis.
  • Present research findings at national and international conferences and contribute to the preparation of manuscripts for publication in high-impact journals, as well as assist in grant writing.

Required Qualifications: 

Qualifications:

  • Ph.D. or MD/Ph.D. in Immunology, Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Bioinformatics, or a related field.
  • Experience in cell culture, cell phenotyping, sequencing, gene editing, and the isolation and characterization of extracellular vesicles is desired.
  • Proficiency in bioinformatics tools and programming languages (e.g., R, Python) for data analysis and visualization.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Experience mentoring trainees is preferred.
  • A strong publication record is essential.
