The Levy Lab at Stanford University and the Arc Institute is seeking three postdoctoral researchers to join our team in exploring host-microbiome communication, focusing on the critical role that the intestinal microbiome and intestinal metabolites play in different diseases, including different types of cancer and post-acute infection syndromes. Our research aims to uncover the function of such metabolites, with implications for developing new therapeutics. We welcome applicants with a background in microbiology, immunology, chemical biology, pharmacology, or cell biology to advance this vital area of research.
- PhD in immunology, microbiology, cancer biology or other life sciences fields.
- Extensive animal laboratory experience (at least 1 year) is required. Good laboratory practices are critical.
- Ability to undertake and complete large research projects and communicate findings to the field as demonstrated by first author publications in respected journals and oral conference presentations.
- Proficiency in culturing and maintaining mammalian cells, particularly mouse cell lines and organoids- preferred
- Experience with mouse models of disease.
