In an environment where career success is dependent on performance on specific tasks or other external metrics of progress, rather than on internal progress or skill-building, how can we foster a growth mindset in our mentees? 

In this session, we will discuss this tension and explore how to build a growth mindset in mentees while recognizing professional realities. In particular, we will practice responding to mentee performance challenges while fostering a growth mindset.
