Conflict is an inevitable part of working with others. Understanding how to manage conflict productively is an important skill to develop as a mentor. In this session, you will identify and learn about your personal conflict management style and reflect on how it affects your professional relationships.
You will also practice managing conflict and explore how your actions during a conflict may impact your mentees. This session will help you develop the skills and confidence to effectively navigate and adapt to a variety of challenging situations you may encounter as a mentor.
Each of us has a unique way of communicating with others. Understanding your natural communication style and how to best adapt it to effectively communicate with others is an important part of building and maintaining strong mentoring relationships.

During this session, we’ll identify effective strategies for improving communication, including how to give and receive feedback and engage in active listening.
