Monday, December 16, 12:00pm-1:00pm, On Campus
Mindsets are a set of beliefs and assumptions that an individual has about themselves, their life, and the situation around them. A fixed mindset is the belief that intelligence, talent, and other abilities are innate and not capable of change. A growth mindset is the belief that challenges are opportunities for growth and improvement.
In this workshop, we will learn how to identify fixed and growth mindsets, model a growth mindset for your team, and understand how/why a growth mindset cultivates a positive, engaging, and successful learning environment for you and your team.
Facilitators: Joy McKenna and Amanda Dudek, Postdoc Peer Mentoring Coaches.
Mentoring Lunches are open to postdocs from all disciplines. Lunch will be provided.
