Becoming a Resilient Scientist: NIH/OPA collaborative course

Stanford's Office of Postdoctoral Affairs is collaborating with the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of Intramural Training & Education (OITE)  to assist trainees in developing the resilience necessary to thrive in the science profession. Our program consists of a five-module webinar series and accompanying discussion groups. Participants completing all five modules in the Resilient Scientist Series (RSS) will receive a certificate of completion.

Oral Communication Fall A

I: Oral Communication

Fall Session A: Monday, August 23 - Thursday, August 26, 5:00pm-7:00pm

Attendance is required ALL 4 Days

This course focuses on helping students improve their oral communication skills for academic and daily life. Emphasis is on increasing confidence and fluency through realistic activities both in and out of class covering pronunciation, idiom and slang usage, active listening skills, and conversation strategies.

The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA) is hosting Rocko’s Ice Cream Tacos for postdocs working on campus!

Sign up and stop by the MSOB Courtyard for a carefully crafted, custom-made ice cream taco on us!

The Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA) is hosting The Pop Nation gourmet popsicles for postdocs working on campus.

Stop by for a hand crafted, gourmet ice pop, made with real fresh fruit! All flavors are 100% vegan and gluten free!
