This two-day teaching improvement workshop is designed to enhance participants’ versatility as teachers, enable them to use a 7-component educational framework to analyze teaching, and provide a forum for collegial exchange about teaching. The workshop incorporates a variety of instructional methods including didactic presentations, group discussion, video vignette review, role-play and worksheet exercises, and personal goal setting.

The workshop covers the following topics:

• Learning Climate

• Control of Session

• Communication of Goals

• Promotion of Understanding & Retention

• Evaluation of Learners

• Feedback to Learners

• Promotion of Self-Directed Learning

Attendance for both days is required.
