This 3-day teaching improvement workshop for postdoctoral scholars in the biomedical or life sciences is designed to enhance participants’ versatility as teachers, enable them to use a 7-component educational framework to analyze teaching, and provide a forum for collegial exchange about teaching. The workshop is developed and given by Kelley M. Skeff, MD, PhD, and Georgette A. Stratos, PhD, Co-Directors of the Stanford Faculty Development Center (SFDC). A similar workshop is given to residents, instructors and faculty members at the Stanford University School of Medicine and internationally.

The workshop incorporates a variety of instructional methods including didactic presentations, group discussion, video vignette review, role-play and worksheet exercises, and personal goal setting.
