Science researchers want to share their work with a broad audience, but it can be daunting to simplify research without losing essential information.

This workshop will offer a translation practice to communicate your disciplinary work to a non-disciplinary audience in presentation and public-facing texts. You will learn how to determine what research pieces to translate, how to make scientific terms accessible, and how to harness storytelling elements, use analogies, and frame definitions to make science research accessible.

From peopling the problem statement to simplifying concepts, this workshop will assist you to make your work ready for those who may need it most – everyday people!
