There’s no substitute for practice when it comes to developing teaching skills. The Microteaching Symposium is your chance to learn evidence-based, inclusive teaching strategies and get practice and feedback running a classroom activity. Gain insights into how people learn and how to design activities accordingly during this special event.

**This is a two part workshop, taking place on April 6th and April 8th**

Microteaching Symposium - Part I: Tuesday, April 6, 4:00pm –5:30pm PT

Participate: Learn how to create a learning activity

Please note: Attendance at the April 6th workshop is a prerequisite for participation in the April 8th workshop. We encourage you to attend both workshops, but you can also attend the April 6th workshop on its own.

Design: Create a learning activity with a teammate from another discipline

Microteaching Symposium - Part II: Thursday, April 8, 4:00pm–6:00pm PT

Teach: Implement the learning activity with peers and get feedback

Please note: Thursday participants must attend the prior Tuesday session and complete the homework assignment.

This program counts toward the Postdoc Teaching Certificate
