Ready to write a mentoring philosophy, but don’t know where to start? Are you considering how to figure out your philosophy or how to communicate your philosophy on mentoring?

In this workshop we will use a combination of large and small group discussions and individual reflection time to identify your core mentoring values. You will leave this workshop with an outline and summary statement of your mentoring philosophy, as well as additional informational resources and several example mentoring philosophy statements you can use as you expand your outline of core values into a complete mentoring philosophy.

After this workshop, you will be able to expand your outline into a complete mentoring philosophy statement to be used for Tier 2 (Practice) of the Postdoc Mentoring Certificate, future job applications, or future research group.

Facilitators: Amanda Dudek and Samuel Montalvo, Postdoc Peer Mentoring Coaches

Mentoring Mondays are open to postdocs from all disciplines. Lunch will be provided.
