Monday, October 23, 12:00pm - 1:00pm, On Campus
Are you working with new students and postdocs in your group this academic year? Start your next mentor-mentee relationship off right by being intentional about setting expectations! A shared understanding of mentor and mentee expectations is critical to building an effective mentoring relationship.
During this workshop, postdocs will reflect on expectations both as a mentee and mentor and develop an action plan for communicating about them effectively. This session is informed by the Aligning Your Expectations curriculum from the Center for the Improvement of Mentored Experiences in Research (CIMER).
Facilitators: Joy McKenna and Anthony Venida, Postdoc Peer Mentoring Coaches
