Monday, January 27, 12:00pm-1:00pm, On Campus

An effective mentor-mentee relationship is built on a shared understanding and agreement of expectations. Misaligned expectations may arise from differences in backgrounds.

This workshop aims to address misaligned expectations using a series of activities designed to foster mutual understanding and collaboration. We hope to provide tools that will ensure that both parties are heard and valued through the practice of clear communication, compromise, and the evolution of expectations.

Facilitators: Michelle M. Miranda Vélez and Joy A. McKenna, Postdoc Peer Mentoring Coaches.

Mentoring Lunches are open to postdocs from all disciplines. Lunch will be provided.
