Monday, May 18, 12:00pm-1:00pm, On Campus
This interactive workshop will help participants build practical skills for navigating mentorship relationships that involve disability, accommodation needs, and performance considerations.
Through a brief lecture and two real-world case studies, attendees will explore how to balance confidentiality, advocacy, and accountability while maintaining clear expectations and supportive relationships. Participants will leave with a stronger understanding of adaptive mentorship and have concrete strategies for responding to complex situations in ways that center both fairness and inclusion.
Facilitators: Chelse Spinner and Debra Van Egeren, Postdoc Peer Mentoring Coaches.
Mentoring Lunches are open to postdocs from all disciplines. Lunch will be provided.
