Good advice and up-to-date information about the faculty job search comes from those who have just successfully completed a search.
All members of this panel of current Stanford PhDs and Postdocs have concluded the faculty job search during 2022-23 and have received at least one job offer. Some have juggled several competing offers. Come hear them give you the full picture:
- What made their written materials stand out?
- What were the campus interviews like?
- How did they negotiate?
- What was the most unexpected thing that happened to them?
- What advice do they have for you?
Come with your questions! We will field general questions.
Panelists:
- Pablo Seward Delaporte, PhD in Anthropology, accepted a position at University of St. Louis
- Rebecca Gleit, PhD in Sociology, accepted a position at Skidmore College
- Yinuo "Noah" Yao, PhD in Civil and Environmental Engineering, accepted a position at Texas A&M University
