Open Postdoctoral position, faculty mentor Daniel Tawfik

An opportunity for a postdoctoral fellow is available in the lab of Dr. Daniel Tawfik in the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Stanford University. The Tawfik lab studies the use of electronic health record metadata in identifying structures and processes that promote high quality healthcare. Our projects apply advanced analytical methods to large databases of primarily structured electronic health record data and EHR usage metadata.

In contrast to many other organs, a significant portion of lung development and growth occurs postnatally during the first decade of life. The immaturity of the lung after birth heightens its susceptibility to insults that can disrupt this developmental program, but also offers immature lung a greater capacity for repair and regeneration after injury.
