Does this position pay above the required minimum?: 
No. The expected base pay for this position is the Stanford University required minimum for all postdoctoral scholars appointed through the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs. The FY25 minimum is $76,383.

The Yang Group in the Department of Microbiology and Immunology at Stanford University School of Medicine is currently recruiting postdoctoral fellows to work with a team developing using the concept of induced proximity to develop small molecule antivirals. We are particularly interested in trainees with expertise in molecular virology of chronic viruses (HIV, EBV, HBV, HPV) and chemical biology trainees with a willingness and aptitude for learning new experimental systems. Our projects require an adaptable mix of molecular virology as well as protein biochemistry and biophysics. It's essential that you be motivated to work on cutting edge antiviral strategies and thrive working in a collaborative and fast-paced environment. 

Required Qualifications: 
  • Experience with molecular virology of HIV or EBV including assay development and reverse genetics

OR 

  • Experience with cell/molecular biology and protein biochemistry/biophysics, including recombinant protein expression in bacterial and insect cell systems and prior experience with assay development
