Our lab investigates the functional principles, development, and computational properties of organism-wide circuits for brain-body interactions. We are an interdisciplinary team spanning engineering, neuroscience, developmental biology, genetics, applied math, and physics — united by curiosity and a drive to understand how the brain coordinates whole-body physiology. We invite scientists from both within and beyond these fields to join us in developing new approaches to unravel the complexity of organism-wide physiology and behavior.

For this post, in particular, we invite scientists with a strong background in physics, computational neuroscience, engineering, applied math, systems biology, or other relevant quantitative fields. Previous experience in neuroscience or physiology may help, but it is not required for our overall evaluation of the candidate's potential. We also encourage applicants working outside of our field to apply, regardless of whether they are engineers, quantitative experimentalists, theorists, or computational scientists.

Our mentorship goal for postdoctoral fellows is to provide the guidance and support necessary to achieve a scientific breakthrough or develop a transformative innovation or tool that can form the foundation of an independent research career/program in academia or industry.

Required Qualifications:
  • PhD in a quantitative life sciences field, physics, engineering, applied math, or other relevant disciplines.
Required Application Materials:
  • CV
  • Brief statements of research interests and career goals
