Does this position pay above the required minimum?: 
No. The expected base pay for this position is the Stanford University required minimum for all postdoctoral scholars appointed through the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs. The FY25 minimum is $76,383.

Research Focus

The Prado Lab and the Ge Lab in the Department of Urology are seeking a highly motivated and talented Postdoctoral Fellow to join our co-mentored team. The labs’ combined research is focused on investigating the role of urothelial exfoliation in cancer therapeutics. The labs are committed to fostering a highly collaborative and scientifically rigorous environment. This position offers an excellent opportunity to learn about and gain experience in the real-world translation of research into clinical applications.

Key Projects

The Postdoctoral Fellow will drive research across several exciting projects, which include:

  • Investigating the biological mechanisms governing urothelial exfoliation and regeneration.
  • Optimizing stem cell engraftment after urothelial exfoliation
  • Developing diagnostic and therapeutic tools to improve the management of urothelial cancer via urothelial exfoliation. 
Required Qualifications: 
  • A Ph.D. in Bioengineering, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and conduct independent research, including developing and troubleshooting new experimental protocols.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across disciplines.
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of scientific integrity and rigor.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with molecular/cell biology techniques such as cell culture, immunofluorescence staining, RNA sequencing, confocal microscopy.
  • Experience with or willingness to perform animal/mouse work, and handling of human tissue/fluid samples
