Pay Range: 
$74,000-$80,000

The Life Science Research Lab within the Stanford Division of Neonatology 
We are looking for a scholar with training and experience in immunology, molecular or developmental biology or related fields, interested to pursue a postdoctoral fellowship in the Benjamin Laboratory at Stanford University. The Scholar would work on a funded project with Stanford scientists with expertise in inflammation and neonatal lung disease. 

The project provides a unique opportunity to use clinically relevant animal models, transgenic mice, in vitro and ex vivo cultures, live cell and tissue imaging, single cell technologies, and bioinformatic analyses to determine how innate immune signaling dysregulates organization of the extracellular matrix in the developing lung. There will be opportunities to collaborate with a variety of scientists and clinicians at Stanford University as well as other institutions. 

Required Qualifications: 
  • Candidates must have a PhD or MD/PhD with expertise in immunology, cell, molecular, or developmental biology, and past experience using mouse models of disease.
  • Priority will be given to applicants with prior training in pulmonary biology, or candidates with expertise in computational biology or single cell transcriptomics.
  • Expertise in primary cell isolation and culture, FACS, confocal imaging.
  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm, passion for research, intellectual creativity, and a history of working well in teams.
  • Have strong written and interpersonal communication skills
