Are you a quantitative scientist interested in applying your background to develop experimental and modeling approaches to understand how neutrophils, the first responders to infections, search for pathogens?
The Thiam and Gordon Labs at Stanford University have an open postdoc position funded by Stanford BioX. The position is a 1-year renewable contract and is envisioned as a joined appointment between the two labs.
We seek applications from highly motivated research fellows who recently obtained or will soon obtain their PhD in Physics, Biophysics, Computational Biology or Quantitative Cell Biology. Experience with modelling and quantifying collective behavior and quantitative microscopy is essential. Experience with microfluidics will be favorably viewed.
This project requires the tight integration of computational modelling and experimental biophysics. Candidates should have experience or demonstrated interest in both wet and dry lab research. Candidates should have demonstrated the ability to work independently as well as in multidisciplinary teams. Candidates should have excellent organizational and communication skills. English is the operating language.
