POSITION 2

We seek a highly motivated individual with a strong foundation in cellular biology, and metabolism. Expertise in mitochondrial biology is particularly welcome. Individuals who are looking to combine genetics of complex disease with cellular phenotyping at scale are encouraged to apply. Applicants should be team players who are interested in working as part of collaborative projects and interacting with national and international consortia. Familiarity with human beta-cell models is highly desired but not essential if they have relevant experience in other metabolic cell models. Previous experience working with mitochondrial assays on a seahorse analyzer would be an advantage.

Individuals should have an interest in variant to function studies in the context of human genetics of complex traits and generating large data sets for collaborative science.

The PI is committed to training and mentoring and will provide exceptional opportunities for career development and a welcoming and supportive laboratory environment which values kindness, honesty, curiosity and integrity.
