Ravenn Gethers (she, her, hers) joined the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs (OPA) in 2021. She serves as the inaugural Assistant Director of Training & Diversity where she works alongside postdoctoral scholars, faculty, and staff in designing professional development curriculum, fostering a sense of belonging, and building community for Stanford's current postdoc population.

Her background includes more than 18 years of experience in both academia and industry. She served as an assistant professor, program director, adjunct instructor and consultant in academia, where she cultivated her passion for learning and development. In industry, she held professional roles as a nonprofit executive director in the public sector and as a senior manager in the business sector.

Ravenn is a California native and first generation college student who earned both her B.S. and M.S.Ed. degrees from Old Dominion University. Since returning to The Golden State in 2021, she enjoys traveling and exploring her new surroundings in Northern California in her free time.
