Does this position pay above the required minimum?: 
No. The expected base pay for this position is the Stanford University required minimum for all postdoctoral scholars appointed through the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs. The FY25 minimum is $73,800.

The Stanford Archaeology Center announces a postdoctoral position for an archaeobotanist with experience in analyses of micro- and/or macro-remains (phytolith, starch granules, and seeds) and lab management. The research area is open, but priority will be given to someone working on East Asian materials. The candidate is also expected to teach one course per year in archaeobotany, assist with regular management of the lab, help with teaching archaeobotanical methods in other courses as needed, and engage with faculty and graduate students at the Center.

The appointment carries a twelve-month salary commensurate with the University Provost established minimum pay levels. The appointment may be eligible for renewal for up to two years based on satisfactory performance and the existence of funding. Postdoctoral scholars are required to be in residence in the Stanford area during the term of the appointment. U.S. citizenship is not required.
