Yes. The expected base pay range for this position is listed in Pay Range field. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the qualifications of the selected candidate, budget availability, and internal equity.
Pay Range: 
85,000-90,000

Postdoctoral Fellowship focused on the development of artificial intelligence tools for healthcare in Dr. Roxana Daneshjou’s lab. This position willl involve the development and testing of AI models for healthcare, with an opportunity to work with free text, image, and molecular data. Topics such as AI transparency and fairness are a cornerstone of the lab. Postdocs will have the opportunity to collaborate with multi-discplinary teams of computer scientists, data scientists, and physicians. 
 
This position is for one year, with the opportunity for extension. 

The ideal candidate is expected to work on-site at least 3 days per week and attend weekly lab meetings.

Required Qualifications: 
  • The ideal candidate should have a Ph.D. in a field related to algorithm development and testing (i.e., bioinformatics/biomedical data science, computer science) or a field that involves training in statistical analysis of medical data (i.e., statistics, biostatistics). MDs with a masters degree in the above fields and a track record of research in developing artificial intelligence algorithms will also be considered. 
  • Signficant experience in programming languages such as python, AI development (TensorFlow or Pytorch), and/or R.
  • Experience in working with healthcare data is a bonus but not a requirement.
