A postdoctoral research fellow position is available at the Byers Eye Institute in the Department of Ophthalmology at the Stanford University School of Medicine. Dr. David Myung’s research group is seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic postdoctoral research fellow to aim in the development and characterization of novel biomaterials for corneal tissue repair and regeneration. The postdoctoral researcher will specifically focus on carrying out in vivo studies using pre-clinical models of corneal wound healing. He/she will work at the center of a highly interdisciplinary collaboration with colleagues in the departments of chemical engineering, bioengineering, and materials science & engineering. The position will remain open until filled.
- Applicants should possess an Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree with peer-reviewed publication(s).
- Experience and familiarity with cell culture and animal research is required.
- Competitive candidates are expected to have excellent oral and written communication skills, to be organized, and to work easily with others in the laboratory as a team player.
