This event is part of series:

May 27, 2020 - 9:00am to 12:00pm
ONLINE ONLY
Speaker(s):
Carole Pertofsky, M.Ed.

During these trying months, many of us have experienced a wildly fluctuating spectrum of well-being, as we aim for scholarly excellence under quarantine circumstances. Within an hour, or a day, or a week, we find ourselves vacillating, sometimes feeling like we are barely coping, then a sense of  adapting pretty well, and in super-power moments, we are thriving.

Now, as we slowly “re-open”, we do so with much uncertainty and “not knowing,”  which challenges for our human nervous system. Courageous resilience is a resource for us, a skill set for our well-being toolkit.  In this session, we will explore how to strengthen our peace of mind, flourish more, and experience fulfillment!

Learning Outcomes:

  • Describe attributes of resilience.
  • Understand basic emotional regulation theories to help restore your sense of vitality for your greatest benefit.
  • Identify at least three personal “take-home” strategies to help you adapt and  tackle real life problems when facing adversity, especially during this pandemic.
