Fellowships at Stanford

We encourage postdoctoral scholars to identify and apply for their own funding. Below are links to some opportunities. This is not a comprehensive list but is intended to help you explore funding mechanisms that might support your work.

Before applying for any grant or fellowship, be sure you understand Stanford policy. Talk with your faculty sponsor and with your grant manager in the Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) and the School of Medicine Research Management Group (RMG). Consider working with the Stanford BioSciences Grant Writing Academy, which can help you develop your proposals and solicit feedback to ensure your writing is strong.

Note that all postdocs must receive at least the minimum salary, and are entitled to benefits. Faculty sponsors must supplement fellowships that do not meet minimum salary requirements or do not provide funding explicitly for benefits.
