Mark Davis's lab at Stanford is looking for ambitious postdoctoral fellows to carry out cutting edge projects in the immunology of infectious diseases and cancer.  There are several funded positions that can start early 2025. Requirements are a Ph.D. in Immunology, publications and a willingness to learn and make sue of some of the new methods we have developed, with a particular focus on human immunology and diseases.

SUMMARY

The specific duties of the postdoctoral research fellow will be to use whole-cell patching methods to probe the cellular diversity of brain circuits across cortical areas and species at the level of morphology, electrophysiology and transcriptome.

Dr. Michelle Lin is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral researcher to contribute to cutting-edge research that aims to improve emergency medical care and population health outcomes. The successful candidate will engage in NIH-funded research to improve care delivery and outcomes, with a focus on access to care after emergency visits among Medicare and Medicaid beneficiaries and health equity.

The Kopito lab is looking for postdocs for an NIH-funded project to study the cell biology of UFMylation, a ubiquitin-like protein conjugation pathway that modifies ribosomes at the membrane of the endoplasmic reticulum (PMID: 30626644, 36945571, 38383785). The Kopito lab uses state-of-the-art functional genomics, protein biochemistry and single particle cryo-EM to understand how UFMylation controls ribosome dynamics and ER homeostasis.

The Boussard Lab in the Division of Biomedical Informatics (BMIR), in the Department of Medicine at Stanford University, in collaboration with the Advanced Informatics for Mental Health lab of Yair Bannett, MD, MS, in the Department of Pediatrics, is seeking a highly motivated, passionate postdoctoral scholar looking to make an impact in the field of mental health, leveraging informatics to tackle real world problems.

Alexandria Boehm at Stanford University is searching for a post doctoral researcher to carry out research related to understanding the sources, presence, persistence, and transport of pathogens in the environment. The post doc will be stationed at Stanford University in the department of civil and environmental engineering or the department of oceans and carry out laboratory and field measurements to better understand the distribution, persistence, and sources of pathogens in the environment. This could include, but is not limited to, work on pathogens on fomites, in water and wastewater, and in air. Research on control measures to reduce concentrations of pathogens in the environment is also within scope. The Boehm lab works with pathogenic bacteria, viruses, and eukaryotic organisms. An ideal candidate will be skilled in QPCR and / or droplet digital PCR, as well as traditional microbial cultivation, and / or viral infectivity assays. 

We are a mass spectrometry and chemical systems biology lab seeking for a biologist with strong training in mechanistic characterization of biological problems.
