A Postdoctoral position is available in the laboratory of Dr. Sui Wang at Stanford University. The Wang research group focuses on investigating the fundamental mechanisms that control retinal development and disease. The lab leverages interdisciplinary approaches, including genomics (e.g. single cell RNA-seq), virology (e.g. AAVs and Lentiviruses), molecular biology and genetic methods, to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying 1) retinal cell fate specification during development, and  2) the multicellular responses elicited by diabetes in the retina. The lab seeks highly motivated applicants who are interested in studying fundamental biology principles. An ideal candidate will be energetic and enjoy working independently as well as collaboratively.

Required Qualifications: 

1). Applicants must have received their PhD within the last three years.
2). Strong experience in molecular biology approaches.
3). Strong experience in working with mice or rats.
4). Experience in eye surgeries/retinal function assays is desirable (preferred, but not required).
