The laboratory of Dr. Robbie Majzner at Stanford University School of Medicine is seeking a motivated post-doctoral fellow with a strong background in immunology and experience with molecular biology and animal models to pursue research projects in CAR T cell engineering.  The focus of the Majzner Lab is optimizing CAR T cell therapies for use in solid tumors.  This includes efforts to overcome tumor heterogeneity by engineering enhanced CAR potency when antigen density is limited and by engineering CAR multispecificity.  An additional focus is in understanding the differences in transcriptional programs and protein signaling cascades downstream of CAR vs TCR activation.  These findings will be used to further enhance CAR T cell activity and specificity for use in treating solid tumors. The Majzner lab is a part of the Stanford Center for Cancer Cell Therapy and benefits from the resources and collaboration of both this center and the larger Stanford campus, a leader in biomedical research and innovation. Interested individuals should send a CV and cover letter together with three references to RMajzner@stanford.edu.
