The Department of Iberian and Latin American Cultures in the Division of Literatures, Cultures, and Languages at Stanford University is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow working in Iberian or Latin American culture and literature of any period.
We invite applications to be submitted by April 1, 2025. The appointment is scheduled to begin on September 1, 2025. The initial appointment is for up to 12 months. The position is renewable up to June 30, 2027, contingent on satisfactory performance.
This is a teaching postdoc that will involve teaching one course each academic quarter the first year, and two courses (one in each of two quarters) in the second year. The third academic quarter of year two is a dedicated research quarter.

- Applicants must have received a PhD from an accredited university in Iberian and Latin American Cultures or a related field before the appointment start date
- A research profile centered on literature and culture
- Superior level Spanish-proficiency with the ability to teach undergraduate and graduate courses in the Spanish language
