No. The expected base pay for this position is the Stanford University required minimum for all postdoctoral scholars appointed through the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs. The FY24 minimum is $71,650.

POSTDOCTORAL SCIENTIST IN FUNCTIONAL BRAIN IMAGING FOR PRECISION MEDICINE IN DEPRESSION 
 
The Stanford Center for Precision Mental Health and Wellness is seeking a well-trained postdoctoral scientist who is motivated to develop and apply expertise in functional neuroimaging in precision medicine studies in depression.  Especially sought are candidates with expertise in functional imaging analyses of both single and multi-band imaging task data, collected over multiple time points, and with a particular interest in mood and cognitive states. The candidate will work on a project funded under an NIMH precision medicine priority initiative in which individuals with are assessed with functional neuroimaging, cognitive behavioral and symptom measures over before, during and after treatment. Treatment includes selectively targeted pharmacotherapy and TMS.  
 
This project is led by Stanford University and involves exciting collaborations with leaders at other institutions. The post-doctoral scientist will work within a thriving and inter-disciplinary team of faculty investigators, postdocs, research coordinators and clinicians. The expectation will be that the post-doctoral scientist leads imaging data analyses, integrating imaging with behavioral and clinical outcomes, and deploying computational models evaluating causal and predictive relationships.  The post-doctoral scientist will drive peer-reviewed publications from the outcomes and has scientific leadership in project management.
 
There may be related opportunities to develop neuroimaging analyses from the large existing datasets available through the lab and center.

Required Qualifications: 

1. Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. in a field(s) relevant to functional neuroimaging and neuroimaging data analysis.
2. High level experience with functional magnetic resonance imaging, spanning resting fMRI, task fMRI and multi-band functional imaging.
3. A clear motivation to pursue research in neuroimaging applied to understand and treat brain circuit disruptions underlying mood and cognitive impairments, characteristic of disorders such as depression.
4. A demonstrated capacity to drive first author publications.
5. Self-motivated with a preference for working within an inter-disciplinary, collaborative environment.
6. Strong interest in and familiarity with precision medicine approaches is preferred.
7. Familiarity with psychological concepts and/or experience with human subject data is preferred.
8. Profound experience in statistical and computational approaches. Experience with R or similar scripting environments is necessary. Substantial experience with SPM and connectivity toolboxes is highly desirable.
