A postdoctoral research position is available in the laboratory of Dr. J. J. Goronzy. The laboratory is interested in the effect of age on the ability to generate adaptive immune responses. In particular, we are interested in mechanisms of T cell aging and T cell memory generation after vaccination. The objective of the current project is to use system biology tools to interrogate human antigen-specific T cells as they change with T cell differentiation after vaccination or in chronic and latent infections. In this project, we participate in the NIH initiative to support human immunology through the Cooperative Centers for Translational Research in Human Immunology. Projects include studies with translational as well as mechanistic molecular scope. For more details, see http://goronzylab.stanford.edu/.
