We have an immediate postdoctoral opportunity to study fundamental gas-phase and multi-phase detonation problems.  Research topics include, but not limited to, shock-droplet interactions, energy transfer mechanisms, self-assembly of reactive fronts, detonation-related reaction kinetics, modeling and simulation, and experiments.  Opportunities exist to work with several external researchers in a multi-university research initiative setting. Knowledge of detonation gas dynamics and simulation is desired, but not required.

Required Qualifications: 
  • The candidate must have a PhD in engineering, physics, chemistry, or related fields;
  • Experience with detonation simulations and/or experiments;
  • Ability to work collaboratively with researchers of a variety of different backgrounds.
