We are hiring a postdoc with a background in analyzing local field potential recordings for the purpose of guiding closed-loop deep brain stimulations in humans.  We have recently been awarded a grant that will be a novel collaboration between Neurosurgery, Psychiatry, Surgery and Engineering, as well as industry (NeuroPace), to identify a human LFP signal from the nucleus accumbens that predicts pathological impulses.  In this case, binge eating in severely obese patients that have failed gastric bypass surgery.  We have preclinical data to support this endeaver and are now looking to hire a postdoc to help us conduct this 5-year study in human subjects. 

Required Qualifications: 

Experienced with in vivo non-humans animal studies and correlation to human electrographic data to functional imaging data is of interest as well.
Ph.D Degree required.
