As Assistant Dean of Postdoctoral Affairs,
I am pleased that you have chosen Stanford University to continue your research training. Beginning your postdoctoral scholarly research is an exciting career phase for you and a highly valued part of Stanford’s educational and research mission. There is no question that your experience and knowledge will be of great benefit to your immediate laboratory or research environment, and particularly to both graduate and undergraduate students. The institutional value of your contributions is immeasurable.
President Hennessy describes our Stanford faculty as one of the most distinguished in the nation. “The more than 1700 scientists, historians, writers, philosophers, artists, and mathematicians include 18 Nobel Laureates, 4 Pulitzer Prize winners, and 21 recipients of the National Medal of Science.” We hold our postdoctoral research fellows in similar high regard. The research opportunities at Stanford are boundless, and the diverse community of scholars offers significant opportunity for intellectual enrichment and creativity.
Once again, we are delighted you chose Stanford. Welcome!
Chequeta Allen
