Applications are now being solicited for support from the Katherine McCormick Fund to support women in medical careers for the academic year 2007-2008. Eligible applicants must be men or women pursuing careers in academic medicine at Stanford University, School of Medicine (SOM).
Ms. McCormick was a lifelong advocate and supporter of medical research.
In 1969, she made a bequest to the School of Medicine of $5,000,000 to assist and encourage women in academic medicine at Stanford University.
Travel awards to attend scientific, educational or professional meetings will be awarded to male or female junior faculty (Instructors and Assistant Professors), postdoctoral scholars and MD, PhD, or MD/PhD graduate students. These students must be registered as School of Medicine (SOM) graduate students with a faculty mentor whose primary appointment is also in the SoM. Former awardees may apply.
The 2007 Application for Travel Grants is available. Please read all application guidelines carefully before starting the application process.

Format Requirements:
